Malaysia eVisa for International Students

In order to simplify the Malaysia visa application process for international students, the Malaysian government introduced a special Malaysia online visa, also known as an Electronic visa or eVisa Malaysia, that is available to 136 countries.

eVISA Malaysia for students is an online application platform that enables foreign students to apply for an electronic student visa to enter Malaysia at their convenience.

International students can apply for eVISA to enter Malaysia through the eVisa system. The entire procedure of Malaysia eVisa can be done online. So, applicants need not go to the Malaysian High Commission, Immigration department, or Diplomatic mission in person.

*The eVisa for Students only offers a Single-Entry Visa (SEV) for a single journey into Malaysia.

Malaysia student eVisa is valid for three (03) months, and students are allowed to stay in the country for a maximum of 30 days. Once in Malaysia, International students must obtain their long-term pass.

Malaysia eVisa Requirements for Students

Students for Malaysia visas are required to scan and upload the following documents:

• Passport Biodata Page with the validity of at least more than 6 months from travel date - Scanned Version; and
• A valid Visa Approval Letter (eVAL) obtained and issued by the respective government authority in Malaysia.

Please note that only documents with VDRs reference number below are allowed for students:

• BVP/STU/xxxxx/xxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxx.
• Dependent also allows applying.

*If your Visa With Reference (VDR) letter is not in the above, it is advisable to apply for your normal visa at the High Commission, Consulate, or Embassy of Malaysia nearest to you.

*Note: Students from all categories including university-level, college university-level, international school, the secondary or primary school are eligible to apply for eVISA for Student.
