Architecture
The architecture of Kuala Lumpur is seen to synthesize the Asian tradition, old colonial building technique, Islamic traditional style and modern and postmodern design influence. As a result the buildings of Kuala Lumpur are both visually striking and unique. Most of the colonial buildings in Kuala Lumpur were built between the end of 19th and early 20th century. These buildings shows remarkable amount of architectural variation as Mughal, Tudor, and Neo-Gothic or Grecian-Spanish style are often seen in the buildings architecture. During the economic boom in the 70’s to the 90’s building are seen to build with local Malaysian and Islamic tradition in mind as the buildings are seen to incorporate local items and dress style and Islamic geometric motifs in their buildings design.
